Low energy consumption equipment

The cheapest and most renewable energy is the one... we don’t consume! All equipment was carefully selected to limit the energy consumption in the Domaine.

Under floor heating  and a heat pump working at full capacity heat houses in winter and cool them in summer. Swimming pools and one bedroom houses are heated or cooled with a heat and air pump.
All electrical appliances  have a low electricity or water consumption :  A or A+ category. Low-energy light bulbs are used  and water power reducers were put on all taps.

Water and waste recycling 
The Domaine has recycling bins to separate paper, plastic and glass from the other household waste. Each group of 2 or 3 rentals has a compost to recycle organic waste and make fertilizer for the gardens.
Rain water is absorbed by the natural fibre roofs and used to cool down the house in the summer or water the garden.

To help reduce CO2 emissions , a taxi service is on offer for holiday makers to link with the nearby stations and makes travelling by train easier.
Bikes can also be rented on site and the horse riding centre Hippocamp  can pick up horse riders once a week to reduce car usage.
Bookings can be made a 100% through the internet to limit printing and sending of papers.
